Zebronics Launches ZEB-PixaPlay 77G Google TV Projector at ₹17,999, Targeting India’s Budget Smart Projector Market

Chennai, India – 17 April 2026: Zebronics has launched the ZEB-PixaPlay 77G, a Google TV-enabled smart projector priced at ₹17,999, positioning it directly within India’s fast-growing budget smart projector segment and emerging as a viable alternative to entry-level televisions.

The launch comes as Indian consumers increasingly shift toward OTT-led entertainment, with demand rising for large-screen viewing experiences that are both flexible and cost-effective. By combining built-in Google TV with high brightness and simplified setup features, Zebronics is targeting first-time projector buyers and value-conscious households seeking an upgrade from traditional TV formats.

The ZEB-PixaPlay 77G delivers 7500 lumens of brightness, enabling clear visuals in ambient lighting conditions, a key consideration for Indian home environments. It features native Full HD resolution (1920 x 1080) with support for 4K input, allowing compatibility across a wide range of high-definition content.

The projector supports screen projection of up to 200 inches, significantly exceeding the size limitations of most televisions in the same price bracket. Auto focus and auto keystone correction are built in, ensuring quick installation and consistent image alignment without manual adjustments, addressing a long-standing usability barrier in the projector category.

Running on Google TV, the device offers direct access to widely used platforms including Netflix, YouTube, Prime Video, and JioHotstar. This integrated interface removes the need for external streaming hardware and aligns with growing consumer preference for all-in-one entertainment devices.

Connectivity options include dual-band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.0, along with HDMI (ARC), USB, AUX, and a 3.5 mm audio jack. The projector is equipped with built-in speakers and supports external audio output via HDMI ARC and Bluetooth-enabled sound systems, enabling a more immersive audio-visual setup.

Commenting on the launch, Pradeep Doshi, Co-Founder and Director at Zebronics, said the company continues to focus on expanding access to large-screen entertainment. He noted that the ZEB-PixaPlay 77G integrates smart functionality with ease of use, allowing consumers to achieve a cinema-style viewing experience without complex installations or high investment.

At ₹17,999, the ZEB-PixaPlay 77G sits firmly in the sub-₹20,000 category, a price band that is rapidly attracting consumers who would traditionally opt for smaller smart TVs. The ability to deliver a significantly larger screen size at a comparable price point is becoming a key driver of adoption in this segment.

The product will be available via Flipkart and Amazon, reinforcing Zebronics’ focus on online-led distribution for high-volume consumer electronics categories.

MRO Analysis: Budget Smart Projectors Emerge as a Real Alternative to TVs in India

The launch of the ZEB-PixaPlay 77G highlights a clear shift in India’s home entertainment market, where affordability, content access, and screen size are beginning to outweigh brand-driven television upgrades.

The sub-₹20,000 smart projector category is no longer niche. It is evolving into a high-growth segment driven by three structural factors: rapid OTT adoption, increasing mobile-first content consumption, and demand for flexible, space-efficient devices. Consumers, particularly in urban and semi-urban markets, are showing willingness to trade fixed television setups for portable, large-screen projection systems.

Zebronics’ pricing strategy is central to this shift. At ₹17,999, the ZEB-PixaPlay 77G directly competes with entry-level smart TVs, while offering screen sizes that can extend up to 200 inches. This price-to-screen-size advantage is becoming one of the most decisive factors influencing purchase decisions in the category.

Another important shift is the integration of operating systems such as Google TV. Devices that combine hardware and content access in a single interface are seeing stronger adoption, as they reduce dependency on additional streaming devices and simplify the user experience. This aligns with broader trends across consumer electronics, where seamless content access is now expected rather than optional.

From a competitive standpoint, the market is seeing increased participation from domestic brands and low-cost imports, particularly in the budget projector segment. However, differentiation is moving beyond basic hardware specifications toward brightness performance, ease of setup, software integration, and after-sales reliability.

Features such as auto focus, auto keystone correction, and higher lumen output are no longer premium add-ons but essential requirements for mass adoption. Brands that can deliver these features within aggressive price points are likely to capture a larger share of first-time buyers.

Looking ahead, smart projectors are expected to gain traction not only as secondary devices but as primary entertainment screens in price-sensitive households. Live sports streaming, regional OTT content, and casual gaming are further accelerating this transition, especially among younger consumers.

Zebronics’ “premium for masses” positioning aligns closely with this opportunity. If execution around product consistency and distribution remains strong, the brand is well placed to benefit from the expanding demand for affordable, large-screen, OTT-driven entertainment solutions in India.
