India — Samsung has introduced its 2026 lineup of Bespoke AI WindFree air conditioners in India, expanding its presence in the premium cooling segment with 23 new models, including the addition of 4-star rated units.
The range is positioned around AI-led cooling, energy efficiency and connected home features, as the company looks to address evolving consumer demand shaped by rising temperatures and higher energy costs. The lineup has been tailored for Indian climate conditions, with a focus on balancing cooling performance, humidity control and operational efficiency.
“With our new Bespoke AI WindFree air conditioner lineup, we have redefined home cooling by delivering true comfort that goes beyond cooling. Consumers get up to 30% energy savings through AI Energy Mode, smart connectivity via SmartThings, and preventive maintenance with SmartThings Home Care. Our new range reflects Samsung’s commitment to innovation that addresses the challenges of India’s climate,” said Ghufran Alam, Vice President, Digital Appliances, Samsung India.
AI-led features and energy focus
At the core of the new range is Samsung’s AI-driven cooling system, which adjusts temperature and airflow based on room conditions and usage patterns. The WindFree technology disperses air through micro holes, aiming to maintain a consistent indoor environment without strong airflow.
The system also combines fast cooling with adaptive modes, shifting to energy-efficient settings once the desired temperature is reached. AI Energy Mode is designed to optimise compressor performance and reduce power consumption by up to 30%, a key consideration in a price-sensitive and energy-conscious market like India.
The addition of 4-star models expands options for consumers looking for energy-rated appliances, as efficiency standards continue to influence buying decisions.
Connected ecosystem and maintenance
The air conditioners are integrated with Samsung’s SmartThings platform, allowing remote operation and monitoring through mobile devices. Features such as Quick Remote and Map View enable users to manage cooling across different spaces, while automated modes adjust performance based on occupancy.
The system also includes predictive maintenance capabilities through SmartThings Home Care, which tracks performance, identifies potential issues and sends alerts. Software updates through Smart Forward are intended to enhance functionality over time.
Voice control compatibility with Bixby, Alexa and Google Assistant is also part of the offering, reflecting the growing adoption of connected home ecosystems.
Designed for Indian conditions
Samsung has also introduced a Dry Comfort feature aimed at managing humidity during monsoon conditions. The system regulates moisture levels without significantly lowering temperature, addressing a common concern in tropical climates.
The new lineup starts at INR 32,490 and will be available across retail outlets and online platforms. The company is offering a 5-year comprehensive warranty on key components and a 10-year warranty on the AI inverter compressor.
Market Research Outlook Analysis
The launch points to a growing shift toward AI-integrated appliances as energy efficiency and automation become central to consumer decision-making.
For competitors, the move raises pressure to combine hardware with software-driven ecosystems rather than compete on cooling performance alone.
Samsung’s strategy suggests a deeper push into connected home infrastructure, using appliances as entry points into its broader ecosystem.
The segment is likely to see increased convergence between smart home platforms and energy-efficient appliances in the coming cycles.
