Deepak Chem Tech Limited (DCTL), a wholly owned subsidiary of Deepak Nitrite Limited, has commissioned a new chlorination and specialty chemicals plant, together with utilities and infrastructure, at Dahej in Gujarat’s Bharuch district.
The project cost about ₹300 crore up to the start of manufacturing, the company said in a stock exchange filing.
The plant adds capacity for chlorination based products and specialty chemicals used across industry. It backs the group’s push deeper into specialty chemicals and leaves room for more value added downstream products. Dahej is one of India’s biggest chemical and petrochemical hubs, with ready infrastructure and port access.
Market Research Outlook: Deepak has not yet disclosed the plant’s products, capacity or end markets. How fast the plant fills with downstream products will decide how much it lifts group margins.
