Shivtek Spechemi Industries, the flagship company of the Shiva Group, will invest about ₹15 crore to expand its plant at Kurnool in Andhra Pradesh. The project adds 14,000 tonnes of chlorinated paraffin capacity.
The existing plant is running at full utilisation and its output is fully committed to customers. Commercial production from the new capacity is targeted by July 2028, and at full scale it should add about ₹100 crore in annual revenue.
Chlorinated paraffins go into PVC compounds, industrial coatings, flame retardants and high performance lubricants. The expansion will use energy efficient, zero emission process technology. The company also runs plants in Gujarat and Punjab.
Managing Director Amitt Nenwani said demand for performance additives in India and export markets is growing faster than supply. He added that customers want scale, quick execution and strict compliance, and the new capacity will serve both current and expected orders.
Market Research Outlook: A plant sold out before expansion is a clear sign of tight supply in chlorinated paraffins. Growth in PVC compounding and wire and cable insulation is driving demand for these additives, which double as low cost flame retardants. The 2028 start date leaves room for imports and rival capacity to fill the gap first.
