HEINEKEN Opens Business Services India Centre in Hyderabad to Expand Global Digital Operations

HEINEKEN has officially opened its HEINEKEN Business Services India (HBS India) Centre in Hyderabad, adding a new hub to its global business services network as part of the company’s EverGreen 2030 strategy.

The Hyderabad facility joins HEINEKEN’s existing Business Services Centres in Poland, Mexico and Brazil. The company said the India centre will help strengthen its global operating model while improving digital capabilities and business process efficiency across markets.

The new Centre has been designed to support finance operations, digital and technology services, data and analytics, and global business process transformation. HEINEKEN stated that the addition of India closes a strategic coverage gap in Asia and will support markets globally through a more connected services network.

Focus on Digital and AI Capabilities

The Hyderabad Centre is expected to play a key role in HEINEKEN’s wider productivity and transformation agenda. The company is increasingly building global capability centres focused on technology, automation and AI-driven operations to support local market execution.

Harold van den Broek, Chief Financial Officer HEINEKEN, said: “The opening of HEINEKEN Business Services India is an important milestone in further strengthening the fundamentals that underpin EverGreen 2030. By expanding our global business services footprint, we are supporting more efficient and digitally enabled ways of working, which brings further productivity gains and consistency across the company.”

The company noted that Hyderabad was selected due to its strong talent ecosystem in digital services, technology and analytics.

Ákos Magyari, Senior Director HEINEKEN Business Services (HBS), said: “HBS India reflects our long-term commitment to creating a connected global network of Centres. Hyderabad offers deep expertise in digital, AI and business services, and we are excited to expand our capabilities from this strategic location.”

Expansion of Global Business Services Network

HEINEKEN said the Hyderabad facility has been developed according to its global workplace standards, with a focus on collaboration, innovation, culture and talent development.

The India centre will contribute to the planned expansion of HEINEKEN Business Services globally. The company expects the total workforce across all HBS locations to reach around 3,000 roles by 2030.

The launch also highlights the growing role of India as a destination for multinational corporations establishing global capability centres focused on digital transformation, analytics and enterprise operations.

Market Research Outlook Analysis

HEINEKEN’s Hyderabad expansion highlights the increasing role of India in global FMCG digital transformation and shared services operations. Large consumer companies are steadily shifting critical finance, analytics and AI-driven functions to India as they look for scalable and technology-led operating models.

The move also intensifies competition among global FMCG companies building advanced capability centres in India, particularly in areas such as automation, enterprise technology and business process transformation.

For HEINEKEN, the investment signals a stronger focus on centralised digital operations and long-term productivity optimisation under its EverGreen 2030 roadmap. The broader sector is moving toward globally integrated, AI-enabled operational structures supported by India-based talent ecosystems.
